LEARN THE RIGHT WAY
Being at school isn’t easy. Students can experience extreme stress during the school year and when left unmanaged, can lead to issues with anxiety and depression. So why boxing? Not only is boxing a great tool to better control aggression, it also supports positive stress management and increases self-confidence. As physical activity increases, so do levels of endorphins - the body’s natural ‘feel good’ chemicals.
Our HUSTLE NON-CONTACT 6-week Boxing Programme is run and supervised by DBS checked and fully qualified boxing trainers, with programmes based around progressive learning. With each session, students will benefit from:
- BEING PHYSICALLY ACTIVE FOR SUSTAINED PERIODS OF TIME
- LEARNING THE BASIC TOOLS TO LEAD A HEALTHY, ACTIVE LIFE
- INCREASED AGILITY, COORDINATION AND BALANCE
- IMPROVED PERFORMANCE AND RECOGNITION OF PERSONAL BESTS
- ENGAGING IN A COMPETITIVE SPORT IN A SAFE AND POSITIVE WAY
- INCREASED SELF-ESTEEM AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING
- IMPROVED BEHAVIOUR AND ENHANCED ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Physical education, in its many forms, benefits students in many ways. Adding boxing to this list includes students who do not like playing “normal” school sports and can equally feel part of PE lessons. Boxing is also suitable for all ages and all abilities. Unlike most sporting activities such as football, which can be played anywhere, boxing requires dedication and focus. Students will benefit by cultivating grit and a higher level of discipline, which makes this programme the perfect sport for schools. Sessions are designed to facilitate character development in young people such as self-control, self-esteem, respect, discipline, perseverance and sportsmanship.
